Pakistani Taliban Attack: 132 Children Dead

Where is the outrage?

What is this?

One hundred and thirty-two children went to school and didn't return home. They were slaughtered. Taliban monsters killed them.

From CNN:

"'God is great,'" the Taliban militants shouted as they roared through the hallways of a school in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Then, 14-year-old student Ahmed Faraz recalled, one of them took a harsher tone.

"'A lot of the children are under the benches,'" a Pakistani Taliban said, according to Ahmed. "'Kill them.'"

By the time the hours-long siege at Army Public School and Degree College ended early Tuesday evening, at least 145 people -- 132 children, 10 school staff members and three soldiers -- were dead, military spokesman Gen. Asim Bajwa said. More than 100 were injured, many with gunshot wounds, according to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province Information Minister Mushtaq Ghani.

The death toll does not include the terrorists who attacked the school, bursting into an auditorium where a large number of students were taking an exam and gunning down many of them within minutes, Bajwa said.

...Pakistani Taliban spokesman Mohammed Khurrassani said the militants scaled the school's walls around 10 a.m. (midnight ET), intent on killing older students there.

The Taliban had "300 to 400 people ... under their custody" at one point, said Khurrassani, whose group is called Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan, or TTP. But Bajwa said there was no hostage situation, as the attackers' focus was shooting to kill rather than taking captives.
These "God is great" killers obviously aren't of the "lone wolf" variety.

Where is the concern that people might lash out and commit violence against Muslims because of this horrific slaughter?

Why no hashtag expressing solidarity with Muslims around the world in the wake of this terror?

I don't expect there to be a hashtag, like #illridewithyou, following these murders.

When children are executed, it's a bit harder for a lame hashtag to pick up steam. Better to just express sorrow.

Of course, there's sorrow; but that reaction alone won't stop the killers.

These extremists are evil. They commit heinous acts. It's what they do. Oh, well.

Scores of innocent children are dead. Oh, well.

Reserve your outrage for real evil ones -- the Americans, the torturers.

I hope you're upset that some enemy combatants were deprived of sleep while in U.S. custody. That's worthy of outrage.

Do you think the extremists responsible for slaughtering these school children would have spared them if Americans had been nicer?

The fact is these animals will continue to kill until someone stops them.

This strategy of waiting for radical Islam to spontaneously become moderate is unconscionable.

Here's Obama's statement on the slaughter:

The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s horrific attack on the Army Public School in Peshawar, Pakistan. Our hearts and prayers go out to the victims, their families, and loved ones. By targeting students and teachers in this heinous attack, terrorists have once again shown their depravity. We stand with the people of Pakistan, and reiterate the commitment of the United States to support the Government of Pakistan in its efforts to combat terrorism and extremism and to promote peace and stability in the region.
The U.S. "condemns in the strongest possible terms today’s horrific attack."

Wow.

That will stop the Islamists. After that, they must be ready to give peace a chance. No more killing children and beheading journalists.

Right.
